VLocity - Units 00-75
85% of V/Line's VLocity fleet is made up of the fleet design below. This design features 222 seats with six accessible spaces and storage for up to six bicycles. Take a virtual tour of the VLocity below.
VLocitys will either run as a three car set, or coupled with another VLocity to form a six car set.
VLocity - Units 76-79
This VLocity design features an additional 14 seats, 236 in total, all equipped with tray tables. The six accessible spaces are located within the middle carriage.
Due to design changes, there is no dedicated bicycle storage in these sets. More information on travelling with bicycles.
VLocity - Units 80-88
These VLocity trains feature seating for 222 passengers with tray tables available on most seats, a quiet carriage, two onboard toilets (one accessible), space for up to six bicycles and mobile signal boosters.
The new trains will be added to V/Line’s current pool of VLocity trains and will initially be rotated onto existing scheduled services.
VLocity - Units 93-98
The Standard Gauge VLocitys are in use on the Albury line, and are some of the newest VLocitys to join our network. This design features 164 seats, six accessible spaces, storage for up to six bicycles, USB charging points in the seats, a buffet car, and shared tables so families and friends can dine together. - VLocity trains run on the Geelong, Ballarat, Ararat, Maryborough, Bendigo, Echuca, Seymour, Shepparton, Traralgon and Bairnsdale lines.
- The VLocity is the newest and fastest train in the V/Line fleet, travelling at speeds of up to 160km/h.
- Made in Victoria for Victoria, it takes 60 full-time staff at Bombardier Transportation in Dandenong around 160 days to build a three-car train.
