Due to upgrade works at Ballarat Station, there will be changes to pedestrian access, car parking and bus services from late
January 2025 until the end of construction in 2026.
Pedestrian detours
There will be minor changes to pedestrian access in the Ballarat Station precinct. Please follow directional signage to help you move safely through the area.
Temporary relocation of Ballarat Station bus interchange
The bus pick-up and drop-off bays will be relocated to Lydiard Street North (see map).
Regional V/Line coaches, V/Line train replacement coaches and the Airport shuttle will continue from the V/Line coach terminal on the south side of the station.
Car park changes
31 car spaces on the east side of Lydiard Street North, between Railway Parade and Seymour Street, will close to make way for temporary bus bays.
What to expect
While construction is carried out, there will be additional noise, vibrations and activity with vehicles and workers moving around the station.
