To allow for Melton level crossing removal works to take place, there will be temporary car space closures and pedestrian access changes at Melton Station until late 2026.

Passengers who normally drive to Melton Station are encouraged to consider other ways of getting to and from the station. 

Works are underway to build the new Melton Station. Passengers can access the temporary station which includes:

• Ticket and customer service office
• Toilet facilities
• Platform access
• Protective Services Officer (PSO) office

At times there will be changes to footpaths to allow works to be undertaken safely. Please follow detour signage or the direction of traffic controllers as you move through the area.

Changes to bus routes

• The V/Line replacement coach bay has moved to the northern car park.
• The PTV bus stops for routes 452, 453, 454, 455, FlexiRide, 457, 458 and 459 at Melton Station are temporarily  relocated to Brooklyn Road - temporary bus routes are in place for these services.

Passengers should allow extra travel time.

Changes for bicycle users

The Parkiteer bicycle cages at Melton Station are closed until late 2026. Passengers are advised to use the bike hoops located in the south eastern car park, near the temporary Melton Station.
