Planned Service Change

Due to Metro maintenance works, coaches replace Gippsland Line trains for all or part of the journey from Friday night 13 December to Sunday 15 December.

Friday 13 December

From Southern Cross Station:
From 9pm to last service – coaches will replace trains to East Pakenham Station.

From Traralgon:
The 7.38pm and 8.24pm services will be replaced by coaches from East Pakenham to Southern Cross.
The 6.53pm service will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.

From Bairnsdale:
The 6.06pm Bairnsdale to Southern Cross service will be replaced by coaches from East Pakenham to Southern Cross.
 
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December

Coaches replace all trains between Southern Cross and East Pakenham.

Coaches will not stop at Flinders Street (after 7pm), Richmond, Clayton or Berwick stations.

Please allow an additional 60 minutes’ travel time for your journey.

General Information  

• There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
• No pets or hot food allowed on replacement coaches.
• Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
• The Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street;
• Flinders Street Station on Flinders Street opposite Degraves Street.
• Coaches will not stop at Clayton Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Dandenong.
• Coaches will not stop at Richmond Station. Customers should take a Metro service to and from Southern Cross Station or Caulfield.
