Service changes on the Maryborough Line

Ballarat line

Due to track upgrade works and temporary speed restrictions, there will be service changes on the Maryborough Line from Tuesday 22 April to Friday 23 May.

Trains to city depart early

All city-bound trains will depart from Maryborough, Talbot, Clunes and Creswick stations 11 minutes earlier than the usual timetable.

Trains from the city will arrive at Maryborough Station 11 minutes later than usual.

Coaches replace some trains

Tuesday 22 April to Thursday 24 April

Monday 28 April to Thursday 1 May

Tuesday 6 May to Friday 9 May

Monday 12 May to Thursday 15 May

The 9.16am Southern Cross to Maryborough train will end at Ballarat, connecting with a coach to Maryborough

The 2.57pm Maryborough to Southern Cross train will run as a coach to Ballarat, connecting with a train to Southern Cross. This service will depart earlier at 2.47pm

Friday 25 April (ANZAC Day) to Sunday 27 April

Saturday 10 May and Sunday 11 May

The 8.35am Southern Cross to Maryborough train will end at Ballarat, connecting with a coach to Maryborough

The 3.43pm Maryborough to Southern Cross train will run as a coach to Ballarat, connecting with a train to Southern Cross. This service will depart earlier at 3.23pm

V/Line services will run to a Saturday timetable on Friday 25 April for the ANZAC Day public holiday.

General Information
• There is limited space for bikes on V/Line trains and coach replacement services.
• No pets or hot food/liquids allowed on replacement coaches.
• Customers require a valid myki or paper ticket to travel on all V/Line replacement coach services. Please touch on and touch off your myki to ensure you pay the correct fare.
• In Melbourne, coaches will arrive and depart from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
• Customers with accessibility needs please call 1800 800 007 before travelling.
