New weekend services will be added across the Ballarat, Ararat, Warrnambool and Bendigo lines.
We’re introducing new timetables from mid-April, with 50 new or extended weekend services being added across the Ballarat, Ararat, Warrnambool and Bendigo lines
Ballarat Line passengers will get 33 extra services, with trains running every 40 minutes on weekends between 8am and 9pm.
On the Ararat Line, eight new weekend services will be added, with two new return services on Saturdays and Sundays, including a 9.15pm Saturday service from Southern Cross.
Five new weekend services will be added to the Bendigo Line, including late-night trains from Melbourne to Bendigo.
Five Bendigo services will switch to 6-car VLocity trains instead of 3-car trains, providing more seats on the Bendigo Line.
Warrnambool Line passengers will benefit from five daily weekend return services and also get modern and reliable VLocity trains on all services.
Two Geelong Line trains will also be extended through to Waurn Ponds Station every weekday morning, giving passengers in Waurn Ponds more travel options.
There will also be changes to some coach timetables that connect with trains. Passengers should check their timetable before travelling.
The new Ballarat, Ararat and Bendigo line timetables start on 13 April with the Warrnambool line timetable starting on 14 April.
Passengers should check the new timetables before they travel as there will be changes to arrival and departure times.
