Bellarine Rail Trail

Bellarine Rail Trail

The Bellarine Rail Trail is a 35km cycling and walking path commencing in South Geelong and extending to the historic village of Queenscliff at the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula. There are a multitude of access points to the Bay – if the weather’s hot, bring the swimming gear!

The Trail links Bellarine townships of Leopold, Curlewis and Drysdale, proving ample opportunity to re-fill the water bottle, or put the feet up and sample a local wine. An unusual aspect of this rail trail is that steam trains still run on sections! From Drysdale to Queenscliff, the Bellarine Peninsula Railway's vintage trains carry passengers on Sundays and public holidays.

Queenscliff, one of Victoria’s most scenic seaside destinations, has been a holiday destination for over 100 years, and has ample accommodation and eateries to cater to all budgets. Thinking of extending your stay? There couldn’t be an easier place to do it!
